Holiday Hitting & Pitching Camp

• Dates: December 27 & 29, 2008 - Saturday & Monday
• Location: Ultimate Sports - Lindon, Utah (410 N. 930 E - Directions)
• Individual Fee: $70 (Two Day Session for either Hitting or Pitching)
• Individual Fee: $130 (Both Sessions All Day Hitting and Pitching)

Camp Info / Check In

• Who May Attend: Any boy or girl ages 8 to 18 who would like to improve their baseball skills and have fun in the process. Players will be divided into groups by age.
• Hitting Clinic - 9:00 AM to Noon (Both Days - Saturday & Monday)
  Pitching Clinic - 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (Both Days - Saturday & Monday)
• Check-In Procedure
  Check-In will begin 30 minutes before camp at 8:30 AM on Saturday for the Hitting session. For those that are only attending the Pitching session may Check-In at 12:45 PM on Saturday.

Camp Provides

• Staff to player ratio 1:10
• Each player will be videotaped and critiqued by staff member
• Camp Souvenir (T-Shirt)
• Lunch provided both Saturday & Monday for Hitting & Pitching participants

What to Bring

• Gym Shoe / Turf Shoe (all stations are indoors - No Cleats)
• Glove
• Baseball uniform or other proper attire
• Bat / Batting Helmet (if you already own)

History & Format

23rd Annual Holiday Hitting & Pitching Camp This is the 7th Year for the Holiday Camp to be held at the Ultimate Sports facility in Lindon. For 7 years prior the Holiday Camp was held in Ogden, after 6 years in Logan and 2 years at the College of Eastern Utah and 1 year at the Salt Lake Community College.

Chris Shelton – Texas Rangers 1st Baseman. Played at the University of Utah and Salt Lake Community College. 2004 Arizona Fall League Most Valuable Player. Cottonwood High School (Salt Lake City, UT).
Mitch Jones – Las Vegas 51’s (AAA affiliate for the Toronto Blue Jays) outfielder. Drafted in the 7th Round in 2000 by the New York Yankees. Played at Utah Valley State College (Orem, UT) and at Arizona State University. Mountain View High School (Orem, UT).
Tony Pezely - Former Assistant Coach at Salt Lake Community College. Coached at Dixie State College (St. George, UT) and at Taylorsville High School (Salt Lake City, UT). Played at Dixie State College and Northwestern State University. Taylorsville High School.
Jason Crawford – Current High School coach. Former Salt Lake Community College assistant. Coached and played at Mesa State College (Grand Junction, CO). Cyprus High School (Salt Lake City, UT).
Derek Waddoups – Assistant coach at Salt Lake Community College. Former Assistant Coach at Bellevue University (Omaha, NE). Played at College of Eastern Utah and Bellevue University.
Wick Udy - Played professionally with the Seattle Mariners organization. Played at Dixie State College (St. George, UT) and at the University of Utah. Box Elder High School (Brigham City, UT).
Jed Jensen - Played professionally in the United Independent League. Played at Utah Valley State College (Orem, UT). Mountain Crest High School (Hyrum, UT).
Jeff Gustin - Former Head Coach, Mountain View High School (Orem, UT).

Pitching Instructors
Gorman Heimueller - Currently the Minor League Pitching Coordinator for the Philadelphia Phillies. Played Major League Baseball with the Oakland A's and San Francisco Giants. Has 30 years professional baseball experience. Was a Major League Baseball pitching coach for 16 years.
Justin Abbott - Played professionally in the United Independent League. Played at Southern Utah University (Cedar City, UT). Northridge High School (Ogden, UT).
Scott Madsen - Currently the Head Coach at College of Eastern Utah (Price, UT). Played at the College of Eastern Utah. Bonneville High School (Idaho Falls, ID).
Zach Stott - Played professionally with the Philadelphia Phillies organization. Played at Dixie State College (St. George, UT). Logan High School (Logan, UT).
Ryan Zimmerman - Played professionally with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays organization. Played baseball at Salt Lake Community College. Former starting quarterback at Southern Utah University. Mountain Crest High School (Hyrum, UT).

  60% refund - Cancellation 3 to 9 days prior to Camp
